Arrowhead Union High School District Hiring for Special Education Aide Job at Hartland, WI Full Time

Arrowhead High School is accepting applications for three (3) part-time Special Education Program Aides. The Special Education Aide will be scheduled during the school-year, Monday through Friday. The following are the different time frames of each position: 1. 6:45am – 12:30pm 2. 7:00am – 12:45pm 3. 8:45am – 2:30pm
****WHEN APPLYING, PLEASE SPECIFY WHICH TIME FRAME WORKS BEST FOR YOU .**** The Special Education Program Aide assists the teacher and case manager, and works directly with pupils following teacher directions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Assist with classroom management and instruction. 2. Assist with classroom structure and school routine. 3. Assist therapists by preparing students for therapy, maintaining therapy equipment, and transporting child to therapy. 4. Monitor EEN students during lunch, in the hallways, etc. 5. Assist a physically handicapped child in regular class. 6. Assist in interpreting for hearing impaired students. 7. Assist in basic self-care activities which could include toileting, changing diapers, dressing, feeding, etc. 8. Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, positive, team oriented attitude. 9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: Must possess: two to four year college degree; Special Education Program Aide License. Consideration may be given to a candidate who can obtain a Special Education Program Aide License immediately upon hiring. EQUIPMENT/TOOLS OPERATED: Wheel chairs, lifts, various assistive technology, etc. For consideration, please submit the online WECAN application and cover letter.
