Assistant Accountant

Job Description:

This is an amazing opportunity for a candidate who want to explore a blend of both financial and management accounting duties. The role will support the accounting team to meet both local and corporate stakeholder outcomes and deliverables. We are especially seeking an individual who has sound knowledge and a “can do “attitude as this position will be responsible to assist with providing stakeholders with accurate and timely financial advice to the business and other related values added services.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Daily Bank reconciliation for ANZ group
• Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
• Prepare daily sales flash and analysis reports for corporate reporting
• Prepare month end and year end reconciliations for balance sheet for New Zealand and Singapore entities
• Assist with preparing BAS/GST for New Zealand and Singapore entities
• Vendor rebate reconciliations and monthly accruals
• Assist with reviewing P&L accounts for accuracy for both New Zealand and Singapore entities
• Assist with Month End reporting to Corporate
• Assist with the preparation of end of year financial statements, in accordance with New Zealand and Singapore accounting standards and relevant legislation
• Work with Senior management on ad hoc projects across all aspects of the business
• Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (including the Executive Leadership Team).

What We Are Looking For

• A minimum 2-3 year post graduate qualification experience, intention to undertake or already commenced CA/CPA
• Proactive approach to troubleshooting issues
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in efficient environment with a positive “can do” attitude
• Ability to meet strict deadlines particularly during EOM, EOY dates
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Intermediate to Advance Excel skills
