Purchasing Accountant

Armorock, LLC a Polymer Manhole Manufacturer is seeking a highly detail oriented and organized employee to handle all aspects of our procurement process in our Sulphur Springs, Tx location.

The ideal Procurement Coordinator for us is someone who thrives in a fast paced environment due to time-sensitive projects that must be completed on time. This procurement coordinator must have superb customer service and data entry skills with strong attention to detail. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work. Candidate will need to have problem solving skills and be able to adapt to changing priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Compile and maintain Purchasing, Receiving and Invoicing documentation
• Initiate RMA process for discrepant received materials or invoiced amounts
• Perform inventory and cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Research suppliers and acquire quotes; then place purchase order(s) with the selected vendor by phone or online. Follow up with delivery or availability problems. Effectively communicate supplier lead times and delays, if needed
• Familiarity of basic accounting principles, COGS, and how they affect company financials
• Knowledge of MRP fundamentals, ‘demand leveling’, forecasting and lead times
• Capable of utilizing appropriate resources to answer inquiries about basic supplier related issues
• Correspond with suppliers,and company Team Members

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in the use of Kanban replenishment and job shop inventory systems; and comprehend the differences in their respective methods
• Familiarity with purchasing processes, replenishment and kanban
• Familiarity of basic accounting principles, COGS, and how they affect company financials
• Knowledge of MRP fundamentals, ‘demand leveling’, forecasting and lead times
• Proficient in basic Accounts Payable, Receiving, Reconciliation, and Billing functions
• Proficient in supplier sourcing activities, including the Request for Quote (RFQ) Process
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 requirements
• Knowledge of MRP fundamentals, ‘demand leveling’, forecasting and lead times
• Capable of drafting and implementing departmental policies and procedures
• 2-5 years experience in a similar position
• 2-5 years experience in a relevant industry (i.e., manufacturing or construction)
