Arlee Home Fashions Hiring for Import Coordinator at New York, New York Full Time

Junior/Entry Level Import Coordinator for Arlee Home Fashions. 

We are a 45+ year old diversified Home Textile and Pet Product design and distribution company serving the largest reatilers such as Costco, Bed Bath and Beyond, Walmart, Macy’s and others with international and domestic sales. 

The role reports to Director of Import Logistics and focuses on on day to day operations, communicates relevant information to different company departments, as needed.

Key Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Review of daily reports:
  • No Booking Report – follow up with overseas vendors
  • EDI 850 Rejection Report –  follow up with product managers on the missing data
  • In Transit Report (On Water Report) – add new entries based on EDI 856 or manual processing of data (if needed)
  • Booking Report – extraction of data for publishing within the company
• Assist the supervisor to resolve transaction issues.
• Follow up on import documentation for DI orders
• Building and maintenance of freight cost spreadsheet for accounting
• Assist in approval of all transportation invoices for payment (ocean, air and truck)
• Process all customs broker invoices
• Data entry – update of ship/due dates on import POs, as needed
• Contact with customs brokers, freight forwarders and truckers

Qualifications:

• Associate degree required ( Bachelor’s degree preferred )
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent computer skills ( knowledge of excel required)
• Knowledge of ERP system Apprise a big plus
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to solve problems and strong follow through
• Great people skills with the ability to build relationships within the organization
