ACASA Prevention Education Trainer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to the ACASA Prevention Education Director

Essential Functions:

• Conduct community education programs on sexual violence prevention and awareness.
• Assist ACASA Prevention Director with efforts to generate community-wide interest and participation in violence prevention activities.
• Assist with developing training programs.
• Promote services of all Arkansas rape crisis programs and maintain positive working relationships with other organizations.
• Participate in various community activities.
• Assists ACASA Prevention Director with meeting paperwork and reporting requirements as necessary and assists with project evaluation.
• Must be goal-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, be willing to travel within the state, have reliable transportation, and maintain automobile liability insurance.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure a positive public image of ACASA and its work.
• Ensure harmonious office procedures and employee relations within ACASA.
• Ensure a good working relationship between the ACASA, rape crisis programs and project partners.
• Ensure the overall health and well-being of the organization and its activities in accordance with the strategic plan, best-practice services, and current research and information regarding sexual assault.
• Assist with curriculum development, implementation, and improvement.
• Assist with Social Media Relations Development related to prevention activities.
• GEMS program (Little Rock Police Program for at-risk youth)
• Pre-K Program with NLR school system
• Train the Trainer program
• Continue to pursue relationships within the community to expand prevention efforts
• Other duties as assigned.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS

• Solicit community support through personal contacts, public appearances, community involvement, etc.
• Inform the public of ACASA’s work, activities, goals and policies.

PERSONNEL RELATIONS

• Maintain an effective working relationship with the director of ACASA other program partners by coordinating meetings, submitting reports, keeping ACASA and partners informed and engaged, and providing information as needed.

SELF CARE

• Seek advice, resources, direction and support from the ACASA Director and Associate Director as needed.
• Attend at least one workshop per year for personal growth/support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
