Role Summary

The Phone Operator must be compassionate, attentive and professional during interactions with patients, providers and co-workers, and maintain composure in difficult situations utilizing customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Professionally answer and process incoming telephone calls timely and accurately
• Scheduling, changing, or canceling patient appointments according to physician protocols.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Assists callers in identifying needs, assessing and escalate incoming calls to the appropriate member of the team based on the nature of the situation
• Must be able to multi- task and document information accurately and completely

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Previous experience as a telephone operator in a hospital or health care related setting

• Tucson, AZ 85737: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
