Position Title:
Senior Human Resources Generalist
Reports to: Human Resources Manager
Job Summary:
Reporting to our corporate head office, you will be a proactive member of the Argus Leadership team, helping to drive and support people development initiatives within and across functional groups. As an experienced Senior Human Resources professional, you will lead our efforts to attract, train and retain high-achieving, motivated and productive employees while ensuring compliance to both legal and corporate human resource requirements.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Proactively work with Argus management and employees to build a world class culture and improve employee engagement, work relationships and increase retention.
Work closely with the Argus GM and local leadership team to develop and execute strategies for the business and team to help us achieve our people and business objectives.
Champion “best-in-class” recruitment strategies that align with our core values of collaboration, accountability, respect and engagement.
Working with the HR and leadership teams, implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy and HR philosophy.
Lead managers in the performance review process and provide guidance regarding employee development.
Work with the leadership team to support employee development and create training initiatives.
Provide advice to senior management on the creation and application of company policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with relevant HR legislation as well as corporate and regulatory requirements.
Interpret policy to educate departments in their function.
Facilitate actions to resolve employee issues promptly by guiding management on effective communication.
Provide head office with any employee information that will affect payroll such as overtime hours worked, time off (sick, leave or vacation), change of address/benefit information, etc.
Others duties as assigned.

Proactive and solution finding leadership demeanor and approach in working with management and staff.
Knowledge and application of best practices in human resources including a strong understanding of employment standards and other applicable laws.
Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive and/or private information with tact and discretion.

High level of emotional intelligence and the ability to coach others and convey information in a diverse environment.
Ability to professionally communicate the needs and expectations of both the company and our employees to each other.
Ability to actively listen and maintain objectivity and provide guidance to both employees and managers, especially during difficult situations.
Comfortable managing a variety of tasks and prioritizing initiatives when change is inevitable.
A natural consultant with business acumen.
Education & Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field
Proven experience as an HR Generalist/Business Partner
Experience with payroll, compensation and salary administration, recruitment, employee relations, employee development, training, and employee communications.
NICE TO HAVE:
Experience with HRIS Systems, specifically Dayforce
Experience in a high technology and/or manufacturing environment
