Argentys Informatics LLC Hiring for Software Developer, R Job at Washington, DC Full Time

Argentys Informatics, LLC has an opening for full-time position in R and scientific programming and to support projects at DHS.

Our team works on data science, statistical inference, machine learning, decision making in emergency response. This position can be remote.

Responsibilities:

– The Software Developer, R will be responsible for developing dashboards, data visualization solutions, troubleshooting software problems, suggesting enhancements to improve workflow performance as well as writing scripts for daily administration and supporting documentation to automate repeatable tasks.

– The candidate will install new scientific software releases, collaborate with scientists and engineers, evaluate and document workflows and resolve software and scientific workflow related problems.

-The candidate will also monitor software system configurations to ensure reliable operation, ease of use, and integration with scientific workflows in the enterprise environment.

-Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Qualification:

The applicant must have knowledge and software programming skills in R. Knowledge of Python or is a plus. Previous experience in statistics and algorithm development is highly desirable. Applicants should have direct experience developing applications in R. The applicant must be highly organized, self-motivated, proactive and be able to produce accomplishments on-time and independently.

– BS with 2 years of related experience. Degree fields include data science, physics, engineering, information systems, computer science.

– Experience with implementing data processing routines.

– Experience with R, R Studio procedures, tools, and data formats

– Data analysis experience

– US citizenship is required

Position requires either an active DHS Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain prior to start.
