The Talent Manager will lead and direct functions of the Talent Team (Human Resources) serving as the main point of contact for the company’s growing workforce of 70+ staff members, including both project and administrative staff.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Talent Manager is a full-time position, which is responsible for the hands-on management and development of AA’s Talent Team placing the highest priority on serving the job-related needs of each AA staff member and future talent. This position includes the full spectrum of human resource functions, including: program management, employee communications, recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, employee communications, payroll, benefits, employee records, training and issues management.

Job duties include:

• Human Resource Management
• Partners with the Leadership Team to understand and execute AA’s human resource and talent strategy consistent with the company’s Strategic Plan.
• Responsible for management of all human resource activities, communications, s, requests, job descriptions, Employee Handbook, and HR hard/soft files.
• Recruiting/Onboarding/Offboarding
• Ongoing recruiting for project and administrative positions and all related tasks in accordance with the current best practices and labor laws.
• Ensure complete onboarding for all new employees, including Day 1/Week 1 orientation and commencement of AA Playbook Tier 1 training program.
• Ensure complete offboarding activities, including termination documentation, required communications, and exit interviews and procedures. Employee Communications & Well Being
• Ensure ongoing and proactive company/employee communications.
• Resolve staff issues and conflicts through positive facilitation and mediation.
• Maintain and on workplace health and safety compliance. Employee Evaluation & Performance
• Ensure annual staff reviews, including performance evaluation and pay raise consideration.

• Supervise/manage Payroll Team to ensure that the proper calculation and management of payroll per employee on a bi-weekly basis (ADP Workforce Now).
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and address any employee payroll queries. • Ensure tracking and recording time in timekeeping system daily (BQE Core). Benefits
• Manage, administer, and implement company’s benefits per eligible employee. • Ongoing evaluation of current benefits program and implement upgrades/changes. Training
• Manage AA Playbook Training Program in coordination with assigned staff, including ongoing evaluation and update.
• Conduct annual training and development needs assessment.
• Obtains and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Excellent organization and detail-oriented skills, flexible, and able to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent inter-personal, leadership, training, developmental skills, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with job posting websites and HR systems.
• Ability to understand statistical data and mathematical concepts and how to apply them to HR processes.
• Timekeeping systems (BQE Core or other).
• Payroll systems (ADP Workforce Now or other).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or related software.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

The Talent Manager will lead the Talent Team, which is a core functional team of the company. The Talent Team is currently comprised of three staff members, including mid-level and junior-level professionals. The Talent Manager will directly to the company’s Principal/Owner and serve as a member of the Leadership Team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 6-10 years’ relevant experience in related industry, including 3-5 years’ experience directly managing and developing staff
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field

COMPENSATION

• $100,000 – $130,000; commensurate with experience and qualifications
