About the role

Are you obsessed with the royals? A social media addict? Do you live and breathe celebrity gossip?

Are Media’s Weekly magazine category is looking for a talented Picture Researcher to join the team 4 days a week.

Reporting to the Senior Picture Editor, this is a rewarding role and an exciting opportunity to join the Weekly category. You will be working across multiple titles alongside a fun and friendly team and be able to receive one-on-one mentoring to help you grow professionally.

Duties

  • Sourcing, researching and editing photo material for quality, relevance and cost
  • Working closely with Picture Editors on photo briefs
  • Be responsible for hi res image ordering
  • Assisting to keep our digital filing systems up to date
  • Input with picture feature ideas
  • Juggling and prioritizing deadlines across multiple brands and issues.

Skills and experience

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to understand what makes each brand unique within the category
  • Professional, mature and collaborative team player
  • Strong time management skills
  • Experience in editorial software applications such as Bridge and Photoshop
  • Ability to plan ahead, adhere to deadlines and communicate effectively to team members
  • Ability to use social media to the benefit of the brand.
