Ardingly College are seeking to appoint a Prep School Librarian to support the teaching and learning within the school by contributing to the effective management of library services. This is a fixed-term position to cover maternity leave within the department for a period of up to one-year.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about encouraging the development of a vibrant whole school reading culture and to work as part of a team which considers itself to be at the heart of teaching and learning.

Candidates should have an undergraduate degree and desirably a qualification in Librarianship, Information Management, or Information Science. Candidates should be self-motivated, have the ability to work well in a busy team environment and be able to communicate effectively to pupils, parents and staff.

The hours of work are 35 hours per week, across 38 weeks per year. Actual hours per week are to be agreed with the Head Librarian.

Salary: up to £24,375.22, inclusive of paid holiday
