The Afternoon Shift Plant Supervisor is about managing, coordinating, and scheduling the activities of employees in their assigned areas in the most efficient and effective manner. You are a key to Archmill’s successful manufacturing plant, you will manage Cost, Quality & Schedule while keeping everyone safe. You are a leader, you are here to mentor, coach and grow team members to achieve their full potential.

YOUR KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

1. Cost control:

• Labour efficiency
• Materials/inventory usage and optimization

2. On-time delivery:

• DIFOT to IDD (delivered in full, on time, IDD = Internal Due Date)

3. Quality:

• QC inspection on every job (target 95% success rate)
• Organization (manage to 5S principle – tidy shop, a place for everything and everything in its place)

4. Health & Safety:

• Role Model
• Holding everyone to the same “safe” level

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Cost control:

• Build successful “TEAMS”, train, coach, mentor and bring employees together
• Practice Lean Manufacturing principles including 5S and lead by example
• Manage line efficiencies, key performance indicators, and down time
• Ensure labour reporting work order completion is done accurately
• Ensure smooth flow of work, hours applied to the right jobs/WO
• Approve hours and ensure data collections are done daily
• Adhere and uphold Archmill process and culture within the team and beyond

On-time delivery:

• Manage every work order to make sure it is 100% complete through your department.
• Ensure that equipment is in working order and in safe condition at all times.

Quality:

• Ensure product quality.

Health & Safety:

• Responsible for manufacturing product using safe practices through the supervision of production team members.

EDUCATION:

• College level Diploma in a related field is preferred
