Archmill House Hiring for Machine Operator at Hamilton, ON Full Time

The Machine Operator is required to ensure the safe, efficient operation, cleaning of and running adjustments for the machinery they operate to produce quality parts as required on a timely basis.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: *

• Ability to read simple blueprints and drawings.

• Set up the saw machine, making adjustments for each job

• Set stops or guides to specified lengths

• Operate the saw machine, keeping an eye out for any defects or issues

• Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy

• Use shapers and molders, rulers, measuring tapes to accurately measure wood for cutting and shaping.

• Cut, drill, sand or plane materials for snug fit, finish assembled materials

• Operate and maintain power tools and equipment.

• Report out daily log of tasks

• Use of proper Personal Protective Equipment is required.

• Understand and comply with all Policies and Procedures

• Maintain a clean working area free from sawdust and debris between tasks and at end of day.

• Perform other related duties as assigned

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: *

• Experience as a machine operator preferred
• Experience operating a saw
• Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs
• Attention to detail

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent
