POSITITON TITLE: ACCOUNTING CLERK

REPORTS TO: ACCOUNTING MANAGER

STATUS: NON-EXCEMPT- Full-Time, 52 weeks, 40 hours per week

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The AccountingClerk is primarily responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely entry of records to keep the company books up to date. They are responsible for tracking incoming and outgoing money from a company’s accounts. Their duties involve clerical tasks such as data input, reporting, and reconciling accounts. This position requires excellent organization skills to ensure timely and accurate processing. The Accounting Clerk should be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Enter daily bank transaction of incoming/outgoing funds

· Post TIV funds/refunds to student account in the SEG Transcripts software system

· Enter daily cash deposits into the Financial software system GreatPlains

· Enter invoices as needed to apply payments

· Download bank transactions for upload to bank reconciliation module

· Update bank transaction file for Accounts Payable

· Assist with month end procedures

· Assist with reconciling general ledger accounts

· Assist Accounts Payable as needed

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Organization, attention to detail, productivity, and dependability

· Experience with or knowledge of accounting principles

· Must be able to understand organization priorities and meet deadlines

· Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives

· Ability to work effectively during times of organizational stress, ambiguity, and change

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
