OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare work packages for every planned maintenance activity inclusive of repetitive maintenance. Order, receive and supervise required material to assist maintenance activities. Plan and arrange activities related to equipment maintenance to enhance equipment and plant accessibility and competence supporting site production supplies. Coordinate daily as well as weekly planning meetings related with maintenance and materials planner to ensure compliance of PM’s and AM’s using CMMS, Maintenance Connection.
Ensure to execute techniques best practices to improve overall efficiency. Coordinate to rebuild spare parts through external suppliers. Collect drawings, manuals and other documents to assist contractor and maintenance repairs or modifications and implement them into PM’s. Coordinate plant shutdowns to attain all essential schedules. Execute modification in maintenance records and key equipment to ensure significant spare parts are on hand, setting min/max for reorder levels along with quantities. Support department’s compliance to all company’s goals and objectives. Support proactively all EH&S procedures and policies.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Accountable to coordinate and create internal work orders for the Maintenance department while assigning work orders to the maintenance personnel.
Work closely with the material planner for scheduling PM and AM activities for weekly and monthly targets
Works with the plant management and skilled trades to understand and confirm requirements for supply of maintenance items and services in accordance with approved plans. Acquires various quotes and negotiates contracts with suppliers and vendors to source the best price on maintenance items and services. Order and maintain parts inventory including technical equipment, using CMMS (Maintenance Connection)
Schedule Preventive Maintenance work and maintain related documentation. Reviews daily maintenance work schedules to ensure accuracy;
Maintain Maintenance-related documentation and set up semi-annual and annual inspections, ensuring that all aspects of the existing company safety policies are followed for all work.
Coordinate outside contractors, ensure proper safety documentation is in place and maintain corresponding paperwork.
Plan parts for all projects to increase wrench time and maximize efficiency
Responsible for maintenance files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.
Work closely with Engineering on new projects or materials needed.
Excellent negotiation skills to optimize the value of goods and services
Judgment and decision-making skills to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
Strong team player with the ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams

Able to work scheduled/unscheduled overtime as required.
Ensure Key Performance Indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability, maintenance department performances and planning.
Fulfill all responsibilities as identified in the Employee Handbook.
Collaborate with maintenance supervision to Suggest and implement PM Improvements.
Fulfill the Health, Safety & Environmental responsibilities identified in the Canadian HSE Management Standards and OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001/45001 Management Systems
Fulfill the Quality Management System responsibilities identified in IATF 16949 and AMTB Canadian Process Map
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
College or certification is an asset
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing environment
5 years experience in Maintenance Planner role in manufacturing industry (automotive is an asset)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint)
Proficient in Maintenance Connection & PM spare parts programs software
Strong communication skills (oral, written, and presentation), with the ability to communicate effectively both with employees and external industry groups.
High degree of integrity
Proven ability to achieve results
Proactive in learning and development activities
Exposure to ISO14001 and TS16949 standards is considered an asset
Sense of Urgency
