Job Description
The Opportunity
Our application landscape is evolving in order to meet the needs of our internal team and external customers and we are seeking a Software Developer to join our growing team on a 24 month fixed term contract. This is a broad, full stack development role, which will give you the opportunity to create, enhance and maintain a suite of new applications.
The Role
You will:
- Design and develop business and safety critical web applications
- Implement system integrations using Web API and Message Queues
- Write well-structured code following SOLID principles
- Focus on quality delivery using automated testing
- Deliver projects as a part of a Scrum team
- Provide 3rd level application support and problem resolution
- Be internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment
- Have excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of processes, procedures and standards
About You
To be successful in this role you will have experience in majority of the following:
- .NET Core or .NET Framework
- MVC
- C#
- Entity Framework
- JavaScript/jQuery
- HTML/CSS
- MSSQL/T-SQL
- Web API
Additionally, the following Qualifications and licenses will be required:
- Relevant degree in technology or demonstrated equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a full stack software developer
Although the below skills and experience are not mandatory for the role it will be beneficial to have some or all the following:
- RabbitMQ
- Agile Delivery, including DevOps practices
- Mulesoft Anypoint
- DevExpress
- PowerApps / Microsoft Power Platform
- Rail experience
