Management Reporting
Assisting with the preparation and development of the Management reporting to Board and Executive Committees
Assisting with the input and allocation of income and costs by business unit and production of accurate, timely and insightful management accounts information and commentary against budget and forecasts
Accounting
Supporting the Finance Team at month-end with preparing and booking journal entries and performing other ad hoc reconciliations and projects as required
Maintaining and updating prepayments and accruals schedules with supporting reconciliations to the GL
Assist other members in the Finance Team to ensure that all invoices and postings are correctly coded within the GL
Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating/understanding variances
Performing monthly bank reconciliations
Budgeting and Forecasting
Developing an understanding of forecasting processes and timelines across the business, including the annual budget planning process and strategic review
Assisting the Finance Team with the budgeting and forecasting processes as and when required
Ad-Hoc
Providing members of the team with ad hoc pieces of anysis work as and when required
Support to Accounts Payable by ensuring all invoices/expenses and other documentation correctly filed on an ongoing basis
Assisting with the annual audit process
Knowledge/Experience
Currently or willing to commence studying towards ACCA or CIMA (study package available to support this), or already qualifed
Previous management accounting experience desirable but not essential
Financial Services, banking experience desirable but not essential
Experience with using SUN – Hyperion and/or Infor Q&A a bonus but not required
Strong analytical skills
Good Excel and IT skills
SQL/Access experience advantageous but not required
