Job Summary
The college is looking for an experienced leader who will be viewed by colleagues as an advocate for student success. The Associate Dean of Instructional Operations understands, promotes, and executes the mission, vision, and strategic direction of the Division of Instruction, Arapahoe Community College (ACC), and the Colorado Community College System (CCCS) with the goal of achieving instructional outcomes that align with the Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE).
This visible position represents ACC, provides direction, and allocates time to developing internal and external partnerships, especially those related to development of educational partnerships which support student success.
The Associate Dean for Instructional Operations is responsible for creating efficiencies and best practices in the department including strategic schedule production, program development and approval, catalog updates, academic plans, academic rooming, and Faculty Load and Compensation (FLAC).
This role serves as a liaison between the ACC Curriculum Committee and the Colorado Community College System (CCCS) in submitting and tracking courses, and program development and revisions.
The Associate Dean plays the role of the CTE director and authority for the college, working with the CTE department and program chairs to ensure CTE programs are compliant with state policies, rules, and guidelines, and act as the credentialing officer of the college.
Act as the Perkins grant principal investigator for the college to ensure funds are being used strategically and in compliance with CCCS requirements.
Supervise the Instructional Operations team, including Instructional Project Coordinator, Instructional Support Coordinator, Schedule Coordinator, Administrative Support Professional positions, and other staff as applicable.

This position, in partnership with the other Instructional and Associate Deans, will help with the prioritization of instructional strategies and the future of instruction based on current and emerging needs.
Every ACC faculty and staff member is expected to participate in the assessment process of the College, utilizing the results of assessment for continuous institutional improvement.

Advertised Salary Range
Salary range for this position is $83,336 – $93,337, commensurate with education and experience. AP 3-45 provides information regarding salary placement and adjustments.
This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
