Description

Developing a recycling program for campus dining services and exploring options for organic composting;

Establishing partnerships with local growers/producers through supply chain management;

Working with project management on energy and water conservation initiatives and green building elements for new dining facilities;

Creating sustainability marketing campaigns and events: Weigh the Waste,

Carbon FOODprint, Sustainable Seafood, Eat Well Live Well Expo;

Working with corporate to define our national green stakes and provide

information for our corporate guides and resources;

Participating in regular meetings with Loyola to collaborate on initiatives and ensure that our environmental goals and projects align;

Coordinating sustainability training for management team and hourly employees; and various presentations.

Qualifications

The position of Sustainability Manager is a professional position and a “specialty occupation” as defined by 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(ii), in that it requires “theoretical and practical application of a body of highly specialized knowledge,” and the “attainment of a bachelor’s degree or higher in a specific specialty, or its equivalent.” Specifically, for the position of Sustainability Manager, ARAMARK Campus’ requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing or Business Management or a related field. The individual in the position of Sustainability Manger must possess the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and be able to build strong relationships with clients and customers as well as ARAMARK teams to accomplish goals and objectives. Possessing the ability to influence complex decision-making processes is fundamental. The position also requires an individual to possess superior written and verbal communication skills.
