Position Description:

This position will assist in development and implementation of marketing plans and programs for a single account within Higher Education. The Unit Marketing Coordinator reports to the unit General Manager, with additional support from the District Marketing Manager. The Unit Marketing Coordinator helps to support all critical business initiatives including sales growth, market penetration, customer retention, quality image, student engagement and satisfaction, improved margins and market share for their unit and Aramark Higher Education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development of strategies to ensure managers have access to customized templates to create consistent campus-wide signage and ensure they have appropriate menu signage in place each day
• Responsible for planning and executing engaging events with the management team
• Responsible for student engagement and satisfaction
• Responsible for social media, prior social media community management is a must
• Prepare monthly, biannual and annual reports
• Interact and build strong relationships with all levels of clients and customers, as well as, internal Aramark teams to accomplish goals and objectives
• Influence in complex decision-making processes, as appropriately, pertaining to the marketing function
• Accountable for achieving financial results through teams’ efforts
• Responsible for the development of strategies to grow our business in the Retail Channels, QSR, Full Service, Coffee, and Convenience.
• Ensure locations are adhering to Pricing Strategies, Plan-o-grams, Brand Standards
• Responsible for measuring the results of the marketing initiatives and gaining customer feedback
• Accountable for achieving financial results through team efforts
• Implementation and execution of corporate driven programs and on- campus promotions as delegated by the district marketing manager
• Coach managers, supervisors and hourly employees on Customer Service, create a customer service culture
• Leverage brands and vendors for marketing opportunities
• Work with managers across campus to ensure their needs are being met
• Work with our campus dietitian to promote health and wellness on campus
• Optimizing dining services efforts related to recycling, energy efficiency, waste reduction in the food environment, local food purchasing, and ways to integrate research on new methods
• Communicating our sustainability efforts to the campus community effectively and generate more awareness on sustainability efforts
• Work with District Marketing Manager to raise meal plan holder growth, retention and lower attrition
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, Powerpoint and Canva required

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing, Business Administration or other related fields) with some relevant field marketing experience.
• Strong communication skills required (both oral and written).
• Effective sales and presentation skills are also required.
• Contract-managed service experience is desirable.
