Facilities Manager

Summary

Ionic Materials is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Facilities Engineer to manage, monitor and maintain building infrastructure and equipment. Primary goal is to manage all aspects of facility and equipment management. Including facility projects, facilities and equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years’ experience in facilities maintenance & management. ; experience with facilities, grounds and custodial management.
• Experience working with clients and building management organizations and external contractors.
• Experience developing specifications for contracted facilities work and associated vendor management.
• Hands on skills and experience with facilities and equipment installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Experience in developing and performing schedule preventive maintenance on facilities/equipment.
• Experience with building management systems.
• Ability to read prints and schematics and create simple mechanical designs preferred.
• Experience using power tools (drill & tap, milling, lathe, welding)
• Experience with wiring low voltage applications, performing pneumatic and liquid plumbing.
• Preferred BS Degree in facility management, engineering, or similar field.

Responsibilities:

• Works with building client to ensure facility is well serviced and maintained.
• Supervises facilities technician and custodial staff in support of facility and business groups.
• Responsible for building systems and safety equipment to ensure optimal operation and performance. Conducts regular safety training and safety inspections.
• Performs occasional hands-on maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
• Works with lead members of technical staff to provide input and feedback infrastructure allocation and performance standards.
• Works with client to identify specialty vendors and contractor for the service, maintenance and upgrades to equipment as needed.
• Works with client to develop and execute preventive maintenance plans, spare parts, and operator’s manuals for facilities and equipment.
• Actively recommends and participates in continuous improvement and quality activities to assure the facility and equipment meets performance standards.
• Conducts inspections of maintenance, custodial and grounds to ensure highest quality service.
• Identifies opportunities to improve facility efficiency and waste management reduction.

Physical Requirements

• Moving objects up to 50lbs.
• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps, and the like.
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish task in various environments.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Assessing the neatness, accuracy, and thoroughness of work.
• Operate machines and power tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $88,000.00 per year
