Description
The Regional Registered Dietitian at will create, design, plan, and support nutrition, health and wellness initiatives at the account and the regional level. This position will assist in providing technical expertise and inform clients, staff, faculty, parents and students about the benefits of Aramark’s partnership, programs and services. This position will work independently and with a team to reach customer satisfaction goals and complete nutrition projects to enhance student dining experiences, strengthen University partnerships and build community relations. Job duties include managing the implementation of region-wide programs that support our field and front-line employees, communications and marketing departments, and business development teams.
Maintain client and Aramark standards through the development and implementation of nutrition programming, promotions and events and educational materials for individual and student groups regarding nutrition, meal planning and health and wellness
Provide support and assistance to students, faculty and staff who have special dietary needs, food allergies or who want to maintain a healthier lifestyle; provide nutrition consultations as referred
Oversee accuracy of nutritional information posted at point of purchase and throughout campus
Conduct and/or coordinate nutritional education workshops, classes, fairs, or programs as requested, as well as contribute to nutrition articles to campus or community publications
Analyze and evaluate a variety of program related data for the purpose of ensuring that program initiatives and activities meet student, campus and employee needs including overseeing nutrition education and program offerings, while integrating cost containment and cost effectiveness aspects
Collaborate with other campus organizations, faculty and staff on events, services and programs; serve as a liaison with a variety of outside and community individuals and agencies; may serve on campus and/or community advisory boards
Manage a variety of virtual health education programs and online health related tools (social media, web pages, mobile apps)
Plan and conduct various employee trainings and classes on nutrition, health and wellness and food safety topics
Oversee food safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance of all food safety standards and expectations
Resolve nutrition and health and wellness issues such as low survey scores, customer concerns and client requests
Support the new sales and client retention process for the region, with a focus on leadership and innovation in the field.
Travel to accounts across the region to support as needed
Administer certifications as needed throughout the region
Perform other such duties and functions as necessary to the proper performance of this position
Qualifications
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition or related field
Current RD certification or RDE
Prior experience working in a high school or university setting preferred
The ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with clients, customers of client and support staff is required.
Adaptability to changing priorities to meet the demands of the business
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations
Ability and willingness to develop and conduct training seminars, conduct presentations and speak from small to large groups of people
Food safety knowledge and/or ServSafe certification preferred
