We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Finance Manager!

You will be working closely with the Finance Director and manage 3 direct reports. This role is ideally suited to a qualified accountant who is looking to progress to Head of Finance in the next two years and can demonstrate great team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Checking the completion and mathematical accuracy of fortnightly / monthly stock sheets from restaurants and bars managers.
• Completion of monthly bank reconciliations.
• Processing of daily cash-up sheets, banking and investigation of material cash differences, voids etc.
• Production of daily / monthly sales reports
• Analysis of monthly sales figures against budget, forecast etc
• Posting of sales ledger report figures to the accounting system.
• Posting of all bank receipts to the accounting system.
• Accounting for events, including maintenance of customer accounts and credit control.
• Accounting for all deposits received.
• Comparison of cash and credit card receipts to bank receipts, including analysis and investigation of all differences.
• Provision of cover for the Accounts team members during periods of holiday or sickness.
• Issue and account for inter-company cross-charge invoices monthly
• Reconciliation of Inter-company accounts at month-ends
• Calculate and post month-end and year-end journals
• Assist in Change and transformation program
• Detailed cost analysis
• Posting of accruals and prepayments & provide commentary on variances to budget
• Assist with preparation of budget & forecast schedules as required
• Assist with the interim and year-end audits by producing an audit file & supporting schedules
• Assist the Finance Director with analysis and ad-hoc reporting as required
• Compile and file turnover information to the Landlords on time
• Assist with quarterly VAT return submissions
• Assist in implementing internal control procedures
• Provide financial training for Operational Team
• Assist in quarterly reporting to the Bank
• Ownership of Purchase Order system, Procure Wizard
• Engage in ad-hoc finance and IT transformation projects

Knowledge, personal skills & preferred experience

• Ideally, experience of using Sage Line 50
• Experience in Hospitality Industry is preferred
• Strong Excel Skills
• Self-motivated, organized and fast learner
• Ability to meet strict accounting deadlines
