Aqua Metals is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work be helping to manage the company’s digital marketing, including website, blogs, multimedia, and social media channels, as well as general marketing activities and the company’s conference planning and coordination. Aqua Metals believes that the only path to achieving global emissions targets is a combination of electrifying transportation that is recharged with renewable electricity and sustainably recycling the lithium-ion batteries with renewable electricity. To that end, Aqua Metals is developing cleaner metals recycling that can deliver high-value raw materials back into the battery manufacturing supply chain while reducing emissions and waste streams and creating safer work environments.
We are the only company that has developed a commercially proven, sustainable, closed-loop metal recycling process, and Aqua Metals is applying its commercialized clean, water-based recycling technology principles to develop the cleanest and most cost-efficient recycling solution for lithium-ion batteries. Our technology will produce higher quality products at a lower operating cost without the damaging effects of furnaces, chemical waste streams, and greenhouse emissions.
Summary Description:
· Reno or Bay Area candidates prefered, with hybrid remote and in-person available
· Helping to shape and implement Aqua Metals’ marketing content calendar each year to ensure the company achieves strategic communications and company objectives
· Managing social media accounts, content scheduling, and user engagement (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube)
· Drive the calendar, creation, and distribution of the company’s monthly investor and general newsletters
· Serve as an inside er, leading company’s internal employee newsletter in coordination with all departments
· Create, gather, and lead the organization of multimedia content for all marketing channels, working with both outside vendors and internal resources – photos, videos, animations, infographics, etc.
· Coordinate company’s event marketing activities at multiple tradeshow conferences and events each year
· Generate monthly s and metrics from digital marketing activities
· TRAVEL: Ability to travel domestically safely; ability to meet all requirements for domestic travel and have all required documentation. If in the Bay Area based, travel to Reno will be twice a quarter and potentially more – project dependent.
· Complete other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills, Experience:
· 1-3 years of experience.
· Experience with digital marketing, social media platforms, and using a content management system (e.g., Sprout, TweetDeck, Hubspot, MailChimp)
· Understanding of digital marketing metrics and how they are measured
· Some creative experience with content creation, which could include graphic design, photo/video editing, or web design
· Ability to write and express ideas clearly
· An interest in clean energy and a sustainable economy
· Additional language skills, bi-lingual or multi-lingual (a plus).
