Applied Instruments Hiring for Laboratory Equipment Outside Sales Representative at San Francisco Bay Area, CA Full Time

With over 50 years providing capital equipment to the Life Sciences market, we are seeking a self motivated individual for a Sales Representative position to sell capital equipment to various market segments in the San Francisco Bay area. This position entails working from home approximately 70% of the time, and meeting with customers face to face approximately 30% of the time. Candidates who reside on the Peninsula, between San Francisco and San Jose are very much preferred for this position. Candidates who live in the East Bay may be considered. Candidates who live outside either of these areas will not be evaluated.

The product lines we represent are in high demand and the representative will sell to several client types, including but not limited to: Universities & Research Institutions, Biotech Companies and Hospitals .

To be successful in this position, you must be highly motivated and assertive. We are seeking a person with Life Sciences knowledge who is goal and results oriented. The successful candidate will assist customers with capital equipment purchases for their laboratories, pharmacies or research requirements. You must be able to work with minimal supervision. Current products offered in this territory include Biological Safety Cabinets, Laboratory Glassware Washers, Refrigerators & Freezers, Autoclaves, Pathology/Morgue equipment, etc.

Individual sales can vary from $10,000 to $1,000,000+. Unlimited compensation potential with our commission structure. Base salary plus commission, first year compensation of $70,000 – $110,000 depending on experience. Realistic second year target of $120,000 to $140,000.

Requirements:

“Hunter” mentality is a must

Previous sales experience

Proven record of sales success

Excellent presentation, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills a must

Knowledge of ACT a plus, timely data base management is a must
