Key Qualifications

  • Experience in WiFi driver SW development and integration with C/C++ in an embedded environment
  • Strong understanding on data structures, object-oriented design, and SW development methodology
  • In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with WiFi protocols and 802.11 standards
  • Experience in various WiFi use cases such as roaming, cellular handover, and multimedia data streaming
  • Proficient understanding of TCP/IP and networking protocols
  • Strong analytical skill for problem-solving and system-level optimization (CPU cycle, memory, power, etc)
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, particularly with technical content.
  • Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results

Description

We are seeking talented, highly motivated, and disciplined engineers to join a best-in-class team that plays a significant part in the development of WiFi products and ecosystems by engaging in a very collaborative and dynamic environment. The position involves identifying and developing core technologies that innovates WiFi use cases and solves everyday problems for customers. You will be required to work effectively in spite of ambiguity and dynamics in the requirements. You will also be required to make educated and intelligent choices between several contradictory factors such as ease of use, performance and efficiency.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent Masters Degree is preferred.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,000 and $242,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
