At the Apple Online Store (AOS), its Engineering team is responsible for the global eCommerce platform that serves millions of customers around the world. We are a team of highly skilled Software Engineering Managers, Engineers, Analysts and Project Managers based in Cupertino, Austin, London, Singapore and Hyderabad. There is a phenomenal opportunity for a dedicated Technical Support Engineer to join a distributed team to that provides production support for Apple’s Online Store and as well as analysing incident trends, monitoring system health and maintaining positive relationships with the business and engineering teams. The key responsibilities of the role are likely to be balanced in the following proportions: – 50% Incident and Ticket Management, Monitoring & Technical Analysis – 30% Stakeholder Engagement – 20% Developing and maintaining dashboards and tools

Key Qualifications

  • Exposure to follow-the-sun monitoring environment with the ability to technically debug and investigate issues before raising to the next level
  • Experience of working optimally with a mix of permanent and contract staff in globally dispersed teams
  • Technically skilled with the ability to understand complex technical issues and participate in discussions with software engineering teams
  • Knowledge of diverse technology stacks such as Java, JavaScript, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Cloud based technologies with a preference of AWS
  • Experience supporting applications, including ability to debug issues by using logfiles and Linux shell commands.
  • Experience of Splunk or similar log debugging tools is helpful
  • Flexibility to handle critical cases after hours as needed

Description

Education & Experience

Bachelors in Information Systems, Computer Science or related Engineering field.
