The company is best known for helping to launch the careers of artists such as Jorja Smith, Billie Eilish, Mr Eazi and Victoria Monet! We are now in search of an ambitious and motivated Finance & Planning Analyst to join Platoon! You will be responsible for supporting the financial management of the Platoon business. Activities include budgeting, planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysing spend and deals as well as presenting to senior partners. This is an outstanding role that sits at the core of a progressive creative business whilst collaborating globally with teams around the world.

Key Qualifications

  • At least 5 years financial accounting experience
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities – an intuitive, strategic problem solver
  • Extensive experience in financial planning and analysis as well as managing budgets, projecting and forecasting
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and can work without continuous instruction. Takes ownership for the role and its output.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with diverse and global teams
  • Great written and verbal communication skills and an outstanding attention to detail
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, Keynote, and Accounting Software (Xero, SAP, Oracle, etc.)

Description

You will: – Take ownership of the monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting and reforesting process – Ensure that all artist costs are being tracked and forecasted accurately – Prepare regular financial reports and insights to provide visibility on the health & growth of the business – Synthesize and communicate the financial narrative to senior management – Be responsible for tracking all artist P&L’s and driving the quarterly review process – Develop, optimize and standardize FP&A processes, including through coordination of automation opportunities and sharing of best practices – Identify any underlying trends in data that could affect future income and cash flow – Liaise with external accountants to manage the monthly, quarterly & annual accounting statements – Perform deal analysis with Business Affairs for prospective artist signings

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred
