The Video Computer Vision org is a centralized applied research and engineering organization responsible for developing real-time on-device Computer Vision and Machine Perception technologies across Apple products. We balance research and product to deliver Apple quality, state-of-the-art experiences, innovating through the full stack, and partnering with HW, SW and ML teams to influence the sensor and silicon roadmap that brings our vision to life. Examples include FaceID, Animoji/Memoji, Scene Understanding, People Understanding and Positional Tracking (VIO/SLAM).
Key Qualifications
- You have at least 2 years of experience working, in the area of testing with camera systems and computer vision features.
- Strong practical knowledge of Python or other scripting language.
- Strong knowledge of camera module operation.
- Familiar with camera calibration methods.
- Familiar with imaging systems & camera technology.
- Experience with computer vision/video processing preferred.
- Experience with image evaluation and performance testing preferred.
- Experience on camera/depth sensing device/optical device testing preferred.
- Passion for quality, exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to describe and document clearly.
- bility to work multi-functionally with other teams and groups.
Description
As part of the Computer Vision Test Team, you will work with and learn from world-class developers from Apple’s Computer Vision and Apple Camera engineering groups. You will be setting the standard methodologies, and developing the strategy for moving from a milestone based deployment to Continuous Integration And Deployment solutions, and then see that plan through execution, enabling the entire organization to move faster.
Education & Experience
BS or MS CS/CE/EE (or equivalent) in the area of computer science, computer vision, machine learning, robotics, optics, is helpful.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,000 and $196,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
