We are currently searching for an energetic, motivated Sanitation Technician to join our Apollo Team!

POSITION SCOPE:
The Sanitation Technician Trainee role is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary production facility in accordance with cGMP requirements and the Master Sanitation Plan. This role specializes in cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, floors, walls, pipes, ceilings and employee facilities within manufacturing plant. It is also responsible for cleaning and sanitizing laboratories and office spaces and facility-wide waste removal.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Ensures that all manufacturing equipment are cleaned, sanitized and handled according to company standards

Assists in the cleaning of production lines and ensures that lines are properly cleaned within the acceptable timeframe

Cleans facility following the Master Sanitation Schedule

Properly handles and uses chemicals for sanitation and uses only approved chemicals for the approved purpose

Operate pressure washers, scrubbers and other janitorial type equipment

Moves and dismantles equipment to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization

Uses both wet and dry mops to perform necessary duties

Regularly checks the trash and recycling receptacles, empties containers and removes scrap, dirty and heavy debris, or other refuse

Dusts interior frames, racks, shelves and ledges

Demonstrates good problem solving, job task planning and organizing, continuous learning and improvement

Performs all tasks in compliance to GMP standards and practices

Wear PPE as communicated and required

Maintains records and logs

Works independently with little supervision

Performs other duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years’ previous sanitation or janitorial experience required; high school diploma or equivalency required; strong proficiency with English (verbal and written) required for reading and understanding instructions and workplace labels; experience in a GMP facility preferred; prior experience operating standard janitorial equipment

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS/CONTACTS: limited to no access to confidential or sensitive information; some internal interactions and/or some minor external interactions; purpose of internal/external contacts is not related to complex matters; no selling, negotiating, consulting, teaching/instructing, or advising; standard level of written and verbal communication skills required for successful job performance
