Position Description

Apollidon Learning, a marketing services firm serving higher education institutions, is seeking a highly motivated, knowledgeable, and results-driven Student Support Advisor who will thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the fast growth of a small business.

A critical feature of the support offered to our clients includes Apollidon’s unique ability to provide hands-on support to students inquiring about and pursuing admission to the varied programs we service. This aspect of our service model falls to Apollidon’s Student Support Services team who serves a key function by working directly with candidates for whom the online undergraduate and graduate programs we represent are of interest.

The successful candidate will engage with students who have requested information about one of the many online programs offered by our university clients. This fast-paced role will serve as a liaison between the student and the Student Support team, bridging the gap from inquiry to assistance for prospective students on matters related to general program information, admission requirements, academic interests and other associated areas.

Qualifications

The Student Support Specialist will have the following experience and attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent required
• Experience working in a higher education setting preferred; candidates considered on a case-by-case basis

• Strong customer service and communications skills are a must.
• Ability to work independently, meet demanding deadlines, and complete assigned projects

• Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team
• Flexible and a self-starter; able to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to Apollidon’s mission
• Passion for education
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (required), Salesforce experience (preferred)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Engage with prospective students by initiating contact and/or responding to inquiries in a timely fashion. This will include activities such as answering questions and providing relevant information via various communication modalities (email, phone, text, live chat, etc.) Conduct live Zoom meetings with potential students interested in knowing or receiving information about the programs—including entrance requirements, courses, critical dates, tuition, etc—and connect qualified prospects to appropriate university stakeholders.
• Maintain current, accurate general knowledge and information about the assigned university programs.

• Track and document all communications and related notes in Salesforce.
• Demonstrate positive attitude and motivation, concern for students, teamwork, excellent time-management skills, and the work ethic to follow through on commitment to students and the organization.
• Serve as a back-up contact person when a member of the Student Support Services team is out of the office/unavailable.
• Represent all university partners to the highest of standards.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
