APN Healthcare Solutions is urgently seeking several Registered Nurses to start RN’s needed in The RN/Tele, Med/Surg or Step Down units at a very established client in the Pittsburgh, PA

Experience: 1 year in the specialty, within the last 3 years is required!

Requirements: PA. RN License, BLS, NIHSS, ACLS preferred

Shift: AM/PM shifts (2 locations multiple openings for several units)

Pay Rate: $60-$65/hr DOE

Job Description:

Telemetry nurse skills and qualifications

· High-level knowledge of cardiac medicine

· Proficiency at operating EKG equipment and interpreting EKGs.

· Strong oral communication skills to interact effectively with patients, physicians,
and other staff.

· Leadership skills to direct the efforts of other staff and provide effective coaching.

· Knowledge of health information software used to maintain patient records.

· Multitasking ability to monitor and care for multiple patients at once.

· Crisis management skills to respond to emergencies calmly and professionally.

Medical/surgical nurses support surgeons by looking after patients’ needs before and after surgery, informing them about their procedures and administering medications and other treatments as prescribed by a doctor.

· Strong organizational abilities and good communication skills

· High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with patients during
stressful experiences

• Keeping organized and following patient care plans exactly
• Administering medications and using medical equipment
• Communicating clearly and honestly with people from all backgrounds
• Keeping good records and maintaining patients’ charts
• Using basic-math skills adequate for dosage calculations
• The ability to work as part of a team in a hospital or post-acute care
