Title: IT Support Lead

Location: Hybrid on-site/remote (offices in Frederick or Bethesda, MD) 

Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire

Rate: W2 only

Clearance: Candidates must obtain/maintain a Public Trust

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline; commensurate years of experience may substitute degree requirements.
• 8+ years’ experience in the IT field, with demonstrated past/current experience providing hands-on IT support as well as leading technical teams. Leadership experience does not need to extend across all years.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage workloads and priorities across technical teams without compromising operations.
• Experience in systems administration/engineering, primarily with the Microsoft desktop and server stack.
• Foundational understanding of cross-functional service areas, such as desktop support, networking, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, as they apply to operational IT support.
• Demonstrated experience implementing process and technical improvements.
• Hands-on familiarity with the Microsoft/Office 365 technology suite (e.g., Azure, SharePoint Online, MS Teams, etc.).
• Experience operating within the IT space under various Federal compliance standards/requirements (e.g., NIST).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical topics in layman’s terms and effectively communicate at all levels with the organization to include executive management.
• Must meet all requirements for obtaining and maintaining a clearance. A clearance is not currently required for this role but may be in the future.

Desired Experience:

• Demonstrated experience supporting both service desk and infrastructure operations.
• Hands-on experience with the implementation of, or operating within, industry standard IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL, ISO, and HDI.
• Experience supporting or managing IT projects following Agile (e.g., Scrum) best practices.
• Solid understanding of and demonstrated hands-on experience with Microsoft Project, Office Suite, and cloud platforms for team and project collaboration (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, SmartSheet, etc.).
• Experience supporting governance processes such as configuration and change management within an enterprise IT environment.
• Self-starter and quick learner, with the initiative and ability to work independently.
