What We’re Looking For
We are looking for an Android Software Engineer who has experience working in Kotlin and Java and is familiar with CI/CD processes to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that supports the technology side of our business strategies. Our developers work collaboratively with every department within Apex to improve the user experience, and make recommendations on technology changes.

Occasional onsite work will be required. For this reason candidates should live in Texas. Apex may offer a relocation for those wishing to relocate to the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Education/Experience/Training

• Experience working with coding languages, database, automation, or business intelligence skills (e.g. Kotlin, Java, SQL, JavaScript, or similar).

• Familiarity with or exposure to the best modern Android practices such as MVVM, Architecture Components, and Jetpack libraries.

• Passion for the Android platform and staying up-to-date with emergent technologies.

• Proficiency with building custom Android UI components.

• Have shipped one or more Android apps to Google Play.

• Self-driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and dealing with ambiguity.

• Team player who works well with others within or outside of engineering.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
