We are looking to hire a full-time Accounting Clerk. Mon-Thurs 7a-4p, Fri 7a-11a.

The Role

The Accounting Clerk role is responsible for supporting all accounting and financial related activities. These include AP/AR, credit card entry, account reconciliations and general ledger accounting. The Accounting Clerk will work closely with the Accountant to ensure the accurate and timely distribution of financial and management reports. The applicant should be detail-oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy and work well with other people.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Monitor accounting email box for invoices, correspondence and respond to inquiries.
• Review accounts payable invoices and enter into ERP system in a timely manner.
• Ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner, initialing ACH payments and check runs.
• Prepare weekly, and as requested, accounts payable reports for the accountant.
• Maintain hard copy files of vendor invoices and payments.

Accounts Receivable

• Email AR invoices generated by the system and monitor project completion process.
• Collections, follow-up on aged receivable accounts and ensure all accounts are collected in a timely manner.
• Apply payments received to open AR invoices.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
• HS diploma/GED
• Computer literate
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel required
