Apex Aluminum Extrusions Hiring for Lead Hand/Supervisor – Rotating Shift at Langley, BC Full Time

Apex Aluminum Extrusions Ltd. is a state-of-the-art aluminum extrusion factory located in Langley, British Columbia. With a 170,000 square foot facility and some of the most modern equipment in its industry, we believe in the extensive use of technology and in the ongoing investment and development of our processes and people.

The Position:
Reporting to the department manager, the Lead Hand/Supervisor will be responsible for their specific department within our manufacturing facility.

Knowledge and Skills:
Evaluate each station of the production process to ensure maximum efficiency and quality

Enforce safety policies and procedures (both in house & regulatory) to decrease the potential for employee injuries on the job

Responsible for meeting production goals and deadlines

Inspect products being produced regularly to prevent rework and quality issues

Maintain open lines of communication between employees and management

Ensure all resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly

Ensure proper utilization of employees, materials and equipment resources

Other duties, as required

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

Able to communicate and provide instructions to the production workers

Knowledge of safety processes in a manufacturing environment

Ability to lift consistently minimum 40 lbs
