Apex Aluminum Extrusions Hiring for Junior QA Inspector – Rotating Day/Night Shift at Langley, BC Full Time

Apex Aluminum Extrusions Ltd. is a state-of-the-art aluminum extrusion factory located in Langley, British Columbia. With a 170,000 square foot facility and some of the most modern equipment in its industry, we believe in the extensive use of technology and in the ongoing investment and development of our processes and people.

The Position:
The role of a Junior Quality Control Inspector is to monitor the quality of in process (packaging) and outgoing (shipping) products, to conduct visual inspection in accordance with APEX Quality Standards, to oversee production processes for conformance to procedures, and to determine any needs for corrective actions in the production process ON THE SPOT. You will combine your natural eye for detail with our in-house QA training, to be a professional advocate of quality in our business.

Shift Schedule: This job has a rotating schedule between day and night shift. Each shift is 12 hours. (Continental Shift)

Duties include but are not limited to:
Perform visual inspection in accordance with APEX Quality Standards

Maintain records of inspections

Work with production team and ensures production processes and parameters meet specifications

Audit of production procedures to ensure their conformance and effectiveness of our standards are met.

Collect samples for mechanical properties out of racks per order

Have basic mechanical aptitude to work with hand tools and basic equipment

Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:
Minimum 1+ years of proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role within the manufacturing industry

Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems

Good knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
