This position is for an IT Financial Applications Analyst in the UK, responsible for providing business, technical, and analytical support for financial applications, including SAP (JVA, FICO) AFENav, etc. The candidate will focus on maintaining, supporting and ensuring system integrity in an integrated rapidly changing environment. This position requires a motivated individual with strong analytical skills and project management experience.

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
Interacting with business teams to understand and troubleshoot issues, analyze potential resolutions, and test solutions.

Responsible for system upgrades and acceptance testing of new software releases including system configuration, testing, quality assurance and training of end users.

Test SAP security authorizations and roles.

Interface support and enhancement testing.

Coordinate with vendors to test and implement corrections to existing functionality

Create project plans, test plans, and coordinating efforts with business teams.

Creating, analyzing, and validating detailed functional specifications and facilitating design sessions with the business and technical teams.

Document requirements to implement business process and technology solutions.

Actively participate in industry user groups to collaborate on the design and delivery of new core functionality. Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting or related field.

Three or more years of oil and gas industry experience.

SAP knowledge required.

SAP JVA/FICO knowledge is preferred.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Project management experience is a plus. Competencies
