Aon are currently recruiting a HR Business Partner to join our team in London. This is a hybrid role with a mix of office and home working. The HR Business Partner will be primarily responsible for supporting and helping get results for our exciting and innovative Commercial Risk business by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our People Organization.

About the Role
Your impact as a People Business Partner:
Developing positive relationships with senior leaders and colleagues across the businesses you support;
Providing strategic direction and support to the business on People/talent related matters;
Engaging closely with the leadership teams you support in order to drive continued improvement and engagement;
Crafting a cohesive and effective partnership with aligned People functional leaders and People centers of excellence teams in order to ensure excellent People service delivery for colleagues;
Preparing and delivering comprehensive change management plans to support roll out and execution of People Org and business initiatives;
Coaching leaders on effective change techniques;
Developing a broad understanding of all Aon People solutions and taking ownership for owning the execution of all People initiatives aligned with the business, including:
Performance Management,
Compensation,
Inclusion and Diversity,
Talent Review and Planning,
Engagement Analysis and Planning,
Workforce planning process,
Organization Design,
Large scale business transformations and integration,
Colleague Wellness;
Partnering with leaders and managers on recruiting, talent development, and retention efforts to ensure we have the human capital needed to improve and grow the business;
Acting as coach and mentor to leaders and high potential colleagues on business opportunities, leading in a professional service organization, and career progression;
Working with leaders to ensure performance management is being optimally employed in support of our high-performance culture;
Liaising with the Talent Acquisition function and business leaders to assess human capital needs and prepare an overall workforce plan;
Liaising with the Talent Development function on initiatives that support colleague development.
Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
About you
Your knowledge and expertise:
A solid background in partnering at a senior level (experience in generalist, specialist, and client-facing roles preferred) in a corporate environment;
Possess strong financial and business acumen.
Ability to collaborate to the entire People Portfolio with an integrated perspective;
Demonstrated ability to consult, influence and partner with senior leaders in developing/implementing People strategies to drive business performance;
Demonstrated relationship leadership skills at all levels of the organization;
Experience handling complex People and financial projects;
Ability to consult on application of policy and process as well as trends, themes, and solutions;
Ability to anticipate changes required within the business and to drive such changes in partnership with business leaders;
Proven success resolving sophisticated People issues; has a working knowledge of employment law in the UK and current People trends; ability to use such knowledge proactively in consulting with clients;
Advanced verbal and written communication skills, especially with senior level leaders;
Knowledge and experience using Workday (desirable but not required);
Ability to facilitate training sessions virtually and in person for both managerial and leadership audiences;
Ability to build cost/benefit analysis to justify investment in People and People strategies;
Proficient in MS Office, with particular expertise in Excel, and proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
