We’re hiring!
We’re looking for a FP&A Analyst – Projects to our Finance Team! Reporting to the UK Wealth and EMEA Investment CFO, this position offers the opportunity to be part of a fast-evolving professional services business. The role will span across the Investment and Retirement solution lines, supporting both finance and business stakeholders as challenges arise.
The successful applicant will apply their technical, reporting and relationship building skills to navigate a wide-ranging task base across a complex business area. They will have a strong attention to detail which can be applied to FP&A/commercial, technical and regulatory projects as well as the roll out of Aon’s new matrixed Helix organization structure.
Key stakeholders will include Controllership/OTC, FP&A, Compliance, Tax, Legal and business colleagues as well as the Krakow COE.
This role will be based out of our Epsom office however, there will be flexibility to work from home up to. Ideally, the successful individual will be based in and around the Surrey area (the south) in order to travel into the office when required.

About the Role

Your impact as FP&A Analyst – Projects:
  • Supporting the CFO with regulatory change projects and annual reporting requirements for Aon’s regulated Investment firms including those required under the “Investment Firms Prudential Regime” (IFPR)
  • Driving transparency and collaboration as part of Aon’s new matrixed “Helix” organization structure, working to support the team to deliver reporting improvements and insight to help grow the business
  • Working with the FP&A Finance Business Partners, Controllers and Order to cash teams to work through technical and complex accounting matters, improve process and drive working capital best practice across the firm
  • Taking an active role in understanding existing business cross charges, intercompany and transfer pricing agreements with a view to improving efficiency and ensuring compliance with tax requirements
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of a wide variety of decks and reports
  • Helping identify risks and improve processes and controls
  • Supporting the roll out of a major new Finance system (workday PSA) and taking a proactive approach to issue identification and solution development
  • The business operates in a complex regulatory environment, with business structures spanning a number of legal entities and geographical areas. As such the control environment is of paramount importance and this role will assist the FP&A team in identifying areas of potential risk and process/control inefficiency, suggesting improvements, automation opportunities and risk mitigation ideas
  • Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company

About you

Your knowledge and expertise:

Experience and knowledge:
  • University Degree (preferably in numerate discipline) or equivalent experience
  • Trained in practice / controllership as ACA / ACCA – part qualified (final stage) or qualified
  • Able to build relationships with stakeholders from a wide variety of backgrounds and disciplines
  • Prior experience earned supporting a regulated business would be desirable

  • Advanced excel skills (VBA not required)
  • Able to work to tight timescales
