Summary:
The Education Director is responsible for developing, leading and growing Anza-Borrego Foundation’s education programs through the implementation of our five-year strategic plan. This entrepreneurial leader in environmental education will work to successfully build our fee-for-service programs and subsidized programming structure and develop financial strategies to ensure their success. As the Education Director, you will be responsible for managing ABF education programs including strategic planning and curriculum development, outreach, scheduling, implementation, conducting assessments and volunteer training and coordination.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job currently has no supervisory duties. This could change as needs of the education department grow.
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience: At least five years related professional experience; degree in environmental education or similar. Community outreach experience is required. Experience working with nonprofit organizations and volunteers is preferred. Camp experience working with people of all ages and abilities and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with the public.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, governmental bodies/boards, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of internet software and the Microsoft Office Suite of products including excel and word/mail merge.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A current CA driver’s license and proof of auto insurance are required.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
