About The Role

Role Location: Eagle Street, Brisbane QLD 4000

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time

• Highly engaging role within Corporate Banking (deal size ~$25-$200m) segment based in Brisbane.
• Through client/ industry understanding and financial analysis, the role supports the on-boarding of new to bank and cross-sell opportunities within acceptable risk parameters, to achieve specified growth targets and risk adjusted returns across the client portfolio.
• Application of credit risk assessment skills and well developed deal structuring capabilities to execute complex transactions jointly with Relationship Managers, Product Partners and Institutional Risk, to support delivery of customer solutions.
• Role has a hybrid nature and will involve financial analysis and relationship management components.
• Industry specific research and ongoing portfolio management functions. Identify, monitor and take appropriate actions in respect of deteriorating and high risk customers in line with Bank’s risk appetite are also core responsibilities.
• Role will exercise delegated credit approving responsibility and will have management responsibility for staff.

Accountabilities:

• Ability to make sound financial / business recommendations based on thorough research and financial analysis.
• Undertake quality written work, financial analysis and transaction management.
• Conduct financial analysis and industry research as required.
• Develop relationships with Product Partners (Transaction Banking / Trade / Asset Finance / Markets), Risk, and other key stakeholders within Corporate & Institutional Division.
• Liaising with internal and external legal counsel for transaction documentation.
• Take ownership of an active set of clients to ensure day to day customer, credit, compliance and administrative matters are met.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Strong credit skills with the ability to structure complex financing arrangements and present a detailed risk assessment and business proposition.
• Relationship management skills with ability to talk with CFO’s, Financial Controllers, and external law firms.
• Demonstrate the New Ways of Leading skills.
• Demonstrated financial analysis skills going beyond traditional accounting based analysis.
• Ability to identify key business drivers and mitigate key risks and make recommendations where appropriate.
• Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics.
