About us
Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation (AHAC) is a multi-disciplinary organisation which provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region, dedicated to ‘Closing the Gap’ in Aboriginal health within remote Australia.
Anyinginyi consists of four different sections (Health Services, Business Services, Public Health Unit and Piliyintinji-Ki Stronger Families) which allow them to have a holistic approach to health ensuring that clients’ physical and emotional health and wellbeing is given the utmost priority.
Anyinginyi’s mission is to be a provider of high quality holistic primary health care services featuring prevention and treatment in the Barkly region in a culturally responsive way.

There is a supermarket similar to a large IGA store, Post Office, clothing and furniture store, Pharmacy, Newsagent, two banks (ANZ & Westpac), restaurants and coffee shops and four hotels/motels. It also has sporting facilities (e.g., swimming pool, basketball courts, tennis court, football ground, car racing track), and several tourists attractions within easy reach Like our Beautiful Lake Mary Ann!
About the Role
The Finance Manager has primary responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and delivering the finance activities of the organisation, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and compliance. The position will lead a team of 4 staff and provide management and the Board with high level information and assistance to make sound business decisions to meet strategic objectives.
The position is required to pro-actively build the skills of their team and the financial management skills of all Executive Managers and employees who manage programs and budgets. The Finance Manager is to ensure and maintain robust and transparent financial management accountable to the Board, our members and funding bodies.
About You
To be considered for this position, you must have respect for traditional Aboriginal culture and cultural diversity and the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal/culturally diverse people. Knowledge and understanding of the core functions and services provided by Anyinginyi and an appreciation of the link between this understanding and improved financial management.
To be considered for this position, you must have proven experience as a Financial Manager, experience in not-for-profit accounting is desirable. The Finance Manager must obtain demonstrated ability to function as an essential part of a management team and to work successfully with other professionals in the management of health care services.
Proven ability in clinical records management & preparation of quality documentation including reports, letters, policies & procedures. Demonstrated Leadership, people management skills and organisational abilities. This position requires high level of communication, interpersonal and negotiation skill particularly with senior clinicians.
