IT Manager

Anova is seeking an IT Manager responsible for all facets of technological operations across the organization. The person in this role acts as the chief server, network, project, data, security and help desk administrator for nearly 400 end users. This position focuses on maximizing organization uptime and minimizing end-user wait time for break fixes through constant monitoring and proactive problem-solving.

Critical duties of the position include

• Budgeting, researching, planning, procuring, and deploying new technical projects
• Constantly and consistently devising, establishing, implementing, documenting, and monitoringT. related procedures and strategies across the organization
• Maintaining company data, backups, and compliance
• Analyzing and anticipating the requirements of all locations to determine their changing technology needs and purchasing efficient and cost-effective technology and software to fill the needs found
• Monitoring, tracking and maintaining the health and appropriate usage of all network infrastructure and connected devices at each location
• Chromebook and mobile device management for 200+ students
• Managing end-user technical support, troubleshooting and break fixes
• Personally handling all tier 2 and 3 issues in person, remotely, via text/email or over the phone
• Maintaining relationships with telecommunication & other 3rd party vendors. Ect

Key Responsibility Area (25%): IT Management

• Devise, establish, implement, document, and monitor all I.T. processes and procedures adhering to best practice standards
• Manage system security and data continuity
• Create and maintain accurate documentation of the network environment
• Evaluate and establish requirements for new systems or modifications
• Manage relationships with vendors for purchases and service
• Ensure licenses, registrations, renewals, etc. related to systems and technology operations and/or services are accurately and timely completed
• Keep current on trends and innovations in the field of information systems/technology

Key Responsibility Area (30%): Infrastructure

• Ensures the availability, continuity, and security of ALL data and information
• Research, evaluate, troubleshoot, install, and maintain network hardware and software to improve stability and cost-effectiveness across all locations
• Evaluate, implement and support system monitoring tools
• Maintaining electronic communications and backups between locations
• Administer domain controllers and DNS services or comparable items
• Manage upgrades/updates and maintenance for all equipment

Key Responsibility Area (20%): Hardware

• Manages all hardware organization-wide. Procurement, asset tracking, setup, deployment, monitoring and disposal of workstations, servers, software, peripheral devices, laptops, phone systems, cell phones, copiers, tablets, chromebooks and electronic fixtures etc
• Install and configure software applications on user and student workstation to fit needs
• Manage and monitor hosted VoIP system across all locations
• Compare products, pricing, and vendor performance to determine best option for the organization

Key Responsibility Area (25%): Technical Support

• Provide technical support for all hardware, software, and peripherals in the organization
• Read, review, prioritize and solve all tickets
• Install and Troubleshoot all devices and software titles in the organization
• Support employee equipment needs for on-boarding and off-boarding
• Manage repair and replacement of all devices
• Develop training materials and procedures, and train users on computer use policy and best practices
• Provide technical and AV support for events as needed
• Provide technical support for clients and students, including arranging accommodations for physical limitations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Education: Background in computer science, network administration or related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Experience: Experience in network and systems administration or IT management in a small to medium-sized company.

Experience supporting and troubleshooting server hardware and personal computers. Non-profit or school and HIPAA compliance/environment experience preferred.

Required technical skills

• Extensive knowledge of Server 2012 & 2016, Exchange, PowerShell, and group policy, AzureAD, virtual, and cloud computing
• Advanced working knowledge of both wired and wireless networking and a hub-spoke VPN business model [Meraki and Cisco knowledge preferred.]
• Knowledge of web content filters, spam filters, and firewall configuration
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Ability to specify, implement, and document best-practices standards for systems administration related to backups, architecture, monitoring and procedures
