Anglo Technical Recruitment Ltd Looking for Senior Highways Engineer at Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Full Time

Our client is a major Civil design, engineering and project management consultancy who has been rapidly growing within various sectors and who is looking for multiple experienced professionals to join them on permanent basis. This role is for a Principal Engineer based in Cambridge.  

There are three roles: Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer, Highways engineer – all for highways projects in Cambridge and Chelmsford.  

Job Description:

They are looking for like-minded people to make a difference. For this role you will:  

– Be leading the technical aspects of a wide variety of highway projects, using your competence and engineering judgement to prepare designs that meet their high technical standards, whilst ensuring they are cost effective and efficiently delivered to delight their clients.  

– Manage, mentor and support engineers, taking responsibility for their technical development and monitoring the quality of their work.  

– Reviewing and certifying design models, documents, technical reports and other deliverables, ensuring they are ready for construction, including specifications, bills of quantities, digital models (primarily Civil 3D, Micro-drainage and federated model software) and all other outputs.

Requirements

– A BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and preferably Incorporated or Chartered Engineer.  

– Demonstrable and significant experience in highway design working in accordance with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and other standards/best practice guidance.  

– An understanding of the commercial aspects of project delivery.
