Anglo American Steelmaking Coal
Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.

We are seeking a Human Resources (HR) Administrator to join our onsite team based at our Grosvenor Operation in Moranbah, QLD.

This role requires an experienced administration professional to assist with the broad requirements of the role as well as maintaining confidentiality.

The role will be rewarding and varied and will involve the following:

• Ensuring accurate validation of data and ownership of the payroll process
• Maintaining and organising employee records, such as personal information and contracts
• Personnel and organisational data management through Navigator+
• Undertaking reporting on HR metrics
• Answering and supporting personnel with general HR-related queries
• Other duties and tasks as required

• Excellent communication (written and oral)
• Sound knowledge of site compliance requirements
• Ability to prioritise workload and work in a fast-paced environment
• High level attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines & plan ahead
• Have experience working in mining, heavy industry, or construction (desirable)
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn and grow
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to understand functionality of business systems and extract relevant data for business purposes
