Anglo American Steelmaking Coal
Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.

Here is an exciting opportunity to join us at Anglo American Steelmaking Coal as a Commercial Finance Analyst, where you will provide support to the commercial team in delivering safe, responsible production, in-line with the agreed operating plans. As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will:

• Provide analytical/operational support to the budgeting process on site, collating budget inputs and supplying analyses on behalf of CM and Commercial Finance Specialists
• Provide financial forecasts and calculations to facilitate cost/capital consideration in service strategies
• Draft effective financial reports (supported by Group Shared Services) & analyses, in line with Anglo American standards
• Monitor site fin. performance, highlighting deviations to Commercial Manager & Com. Finance Specialists
• Prepare analysis and documentation to facilitate period end close
• Cost review and reconciliation for major site contracts

• Tertiary qualifications within Business Accounting, Finance or Economics
• Previous experience working in Commercial teams
• CA or CPA certification and equivalent
