Rock Star Secondary Math Tutor needed: Covid-19 created giant losses in education that impacted low income communities harder than anyone else. This new exciting program at Alexander Tutoring is specifically meant to reach low income students at zero cost to them and their families. Our goal is simple: make sure low income students are equal on the playing field with their more affluent peers by increasing their high school math skills. We are serving students from eighth grade through all the main high school courses: Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2. This will be an exciting opportunity to do meaningful work with students that will really change their lives and your life.

Alexander Tutoring is the top-rated tutoring agency in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York due to our amazing teaching staff. We are looking for 12-20 hours per week and we will have your schedules filled very quickly since we already have a clientele pool for this program.

We here, at Alexander Tutoring believe that mathematics is the language of the universe, and we want to share this with our students. Many students see the standard math curriculum as a boring task imposed upon them. Our approach is to find out what the student is already passionate about, and show them how math relates to their passion, be it art, music, history, or sports. Math is in all things!

Qualifications include:

*Significant teaching experience, both one on one and in the classroom.

*Experience teaching high school mathematics, Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2 preferred.

*A degree in mathematics, engineering, or physics.

*Ability to meet a student at their level and inspire passion for the subject.

*Ability to teach mathematics from pre-algebra to precalculus.
