SENIOR ESTIMATOR – RAIL & CIVILS – NORTH WEST – PERMANENT

Senior Estimator required to join a leading rail & civil engineering contractor based in the North West.  The role will involve working within the pre-construction team reporting directly to the Estimating Director.  The role will involve preparing tender documentation for a number of large-scale rail and civil engineering projects.

The role:

– Reporting directly into the Estimating Director, you will be responsible for your own portfolio of work

– Compiling all pre-construction tender documentation

– Overseeing the estimating team throughout the North West

– Attending site where required to meet with key stakeholders, suppliers and sub-contractors

– Attending tender launch meetings where required

– Establish and maintain an effective document control system across the team

– Undertake preliminary summaries in preparation for tender settlements

– Oversee the preparation of technical submission documentation

Requirements:

– Over 10 years pre-construction / estimating experience within rail and/or civil engineering

– Excellent understanding of preparing tender documentation

– Able to effectively prioritise work and ensure all deadlines are met

– Must have knowledge of Network Rail tender & pricing requirements

– Excellent contract knowledge is essential
