Civil Design Engineer

Location – Leeds

Anderselite are working with a leading consultancy based in Leeds that are looking for a Civil Design Engineer to support a joint venture project alongside Associated British Ports (ABP) to design a variety of civils and building projects across ABP’s Humber ports, located in Immingham, Goole, Grimsby and Hull.

Hybrid/ remote working from home is available for this position.

Responsibilities

– Deliver civil engineering design, including managing design quality control processes and checking and reviewing the work of others.
– Contribute to identification and development of affordable and low carbon solutions.
– Undertake civil engineering design to include but not limited to gravity hydraulic systems, pressure pipework, earthworks, foundations and structures.
– Produce technical specifications and support engagement with suppliers and subcontractors and undertake technical reviews of their designs.
– Understand clients standards and support the design lead.
– Maintain and develop relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

– Degree in Civil Engineering.
– Experience in delivering civil engineering design.
– Able to work with a team.
– Understanding in procurement and construction.
– Collaborating in developing junior staff in design.
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
– Proactive approach and growth mindset.
